Digital drawing tools are a powerful resource for educators who teach online.
Within every activity, you’ll have access to a range of digital tools:
- Pencil (solid lines)
- Highlighter (opaque lines)
- Eraser
- Spyglass (for targeted focus)
To draw with a pencil:
- Click the ‘Tools’ button in the top navigation bar to expand the selection.
- Click on the first pencil icon.
- The bar will expand further, allowing you to choose a different colour and line thickness (weight).
- Use your mouse or touchpad to draw on the digital board.
To highlight words or images:
- Click the ‘Tools’ button in the top navigation bar to expand the selection.
- Click on the second highlighter icon.
- The bar will expand further, allowing you to choose a different colour and line thickness (weight).
- Use your mouse or touchpad to highlight areas on the digital board.
To focus on a specific area with the spyglass:
- Click the ‘Tools’ button in the top navigation bar to expand the selection.
- Click on the last spyglass icon.
- The bar will expand further, allowing you to choose a round- or square-shaped lens.
- Use your mouse or touchpad to drag the lens around to your focus area on the picture.
- You can also enlarge or narrow the lens size using the arrows around the lens frame.
- To deselect the spyglass and see the entire digital board, close the toolbar by hitting ‘X’.
Select the eraser icon in the toolbar to undo your drawing or highlights, and use your mouse or touchpad to wipe them away.
Alternatively, hit the ‘Reset’ button at the top left to clean the board and start afresh.
